Short description:
The Business Informatics BSc program trains professionals who bridge the gap between business software developers and users. Throughout their training, students learn to apply their knowledge in economics and IT, enabling them to understand both software development and business processes. Upon graduation, they will be equipped to solve business problems using info-communication technologies and to operate business IT systems. Additionally, they will be able to collaborate with business professionals, partners, and software developers. This major prepares students for a data-rich business environment and enables them to acquire certification in business information technology. Students also have the opportunity to study key modules of software produced by SAP, a leading company in business management software, giving them a competitive advantage in the job market.

Internship/Practice: Students are required to complete an 8-week internship, either at the university working on research projects or at a multinational or local company.

Career prospects: Graduates can pursue various career paths, including company management system supporter, business analyst, financial report developer, system administrator, and business data system developer and tester. Successful candidates should be proficient in key technologies such as MySQL or MS SQL databases, Unix/Linux, and Windows operating systems. With the right experience, business informatics graduates can also apply for managerial positions in smaller enterprises.
